Intro

MUSIC

Yeah, this is a story.

Joseph Soto

Alright. Welcome back to the uh non-suitable for listeners podcast, ladies and gentlemen. I'm one of your hosts. By the way, thank you for sticking around. My name is Joseph Soto, and I'm also joined by one of the incredible, immaculate co-hosts. Sir?

Roy Alex Gomez

Mr. Roy Alex Gomez. Hey, what is going on, everybody? It's been a minute.

Joseph Soto

It sure has. For a second there, it kind of sounded like you were gonna go, Umberto Moro.

Roy Alex Gomez

Speaking of which, we're also joined by Insert Voice here. He's actually not here for this episode. But uh we're here.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, we're here. We're definitely here.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, we're here, we're queer. Get used to it. Yeah, man. It's been like a while since we've recorded an episode, hasn't it been? Yeah, it's been a minute. It's been a hot minute. Yeah. Um so there's been so many things that have been going on. A lot of things. It's clipping.

Joseph Soto

Um well, where to start? I know. Uh did we touch base on Superman?

Roy Alex Gomez

No, yeah. No, we're we're really behind on a lot of the current topics. About a year behind. Things keep happening.

Joseph Soto

Um wars keep breaking out.

Roy Alex Gomez

I know, it's tough to even stay relevant nowadays because by the time you hear this, it's old news.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, by the time you hear it, folks. But that's what we do. We kind of with a little time capsule. We that's true. You know, if a time traveler happens to come to the future and we're talking about the past, well, guess what?

Roy Alex Gomez

He's informed. Right, that's right. We just documented where we are, I guess, in this current current space and time.

Joseph Soto

Oh man.

Roy Alex Gomez

Captain's log.

Joseph Soto

Start date 995576.

Roy Alex Gomez

That's for the nerds out there. Uh so we speaking of nerds, we've done a lot of things. Like uh, we did Comic-Con for the fourth year. Oh, yeah, we did. That was really fun. 2026. That's true, man. We we man, there was so many things that we did. Uh we were able to finally put a uh end on that Cheech and Chong Master Track tape story. Oh, yeah.

Joseph Soto

And you got some stuff signed too, right?

Cheech and Chong Master Track Tape story ending

Roy Alex Gomez

I did. Cheech signed uh an action figure, which you can see the video that we posted on our TikTok. Uh if you want a video companion to that. Yeah, I don't want to waste your time because I already did that making that video.

Joseph Soto

It's already up. Just click the link. Yeah, don't make me do this. Chef's kissed. Yeah, watch it.

Roy Alex Gomez

Um and we had a lot of fun, didn't we?

Joseph Soto

Did he ever get those tapes? Do you know if he got them?

Roy Alex Gomez

Um I do not keep in contact with Cheech after that.

Joseph Soto

Because I know that when we when we were there, his colleague was like, Yeah, I'll have him sent out.

Roy Alex Gomez

I know.

Joseph Soto

I just don't want him to be like, I kept them.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh, do you know that would be fucking insane if that happened? They just still wound up lost. The lost air quote. Yeah. That was the story behind them. They had been lost for so many years since the original editing of the movie and had not been copywritten or anything for nothing at all. Yeah. And I came across them. And uh fast forward four years later, Cheech is now in possession of them. Hopefully. Hopefully. Um, that was fun. It was fun meeting them, you know. Oh, you know who else was fun meeting? Nicole Sullivan. Nicole Sullivan. That's right. That was awesome.

Joseph Soto

Nicole Sullivan.

Roy Alex Gomez

That's right. She really had some fun with us, didn't she? She uh and we do have clips and of all this stuff, uh, which you'll probably hear next episode. Next episode.

Joseph Soto

We're doing this raw.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, there was also another person there, and I'd like for them to at least be there for this too. Uh well, we won't go too much into it, but you know, we got to meet a couple of uh celebrities, and these celebrities will eventually probably pop up on the podcast. Uh who else did we meet?

Joseph Soto

Oh, dude, Lou Ferrigno. Lou Ferrigno. Give it up to Lou. Yeah, the OG Hulk. Yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh yeah. That was awesome. I got to meet um uh what's his name? The guy who created the Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman. Kevin Eastman. Yeah. Uh me and my son got to meet him, and he asked my kid what his favorite

Roy Meets Kevin Eastman

Roy Alex Gomez

turtle was, and then he drew that turtle for him.

Joseph Soto

I know. Freehand. Yeah, dude. Right there, boom.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, that was awesome. And then he gave him a free pen and stuff too, like a free.

Joseph Soto

Who was the turtle? Leonardo. Leonardo? Yeah. I'm a Donnie. I'm a Donnie guy myself.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, you are the tech guy. So I am the tech. I can see the admiration for him. I think I'm kind of in between, like uh the dude with the attitude, and then like the party dude, you know? Like I'm I'm a little bit in between. I think. Or who would you say that I would be if I was a turtle? Uh, pretty much in between both, yeah.

Joseph Soto

Ralph and um who's the other one? Michelangelo. Michelangelo, yeah. Michelangelo. Michelangelo.

Roy Alex Gomez

Who's that?

Joseph Soto

Uh but yeah, no, dude, that was great.

Roy Alex Gomez

Or maybe by default I would be Donatello, too. Because I mean Donnie? Not Donatello, uh, Leonardo. Leonardo? Because isn't he technically like the leader? Yes. Technically, yes. Right? It's just that I feel like I might have more of the uh the grumpy attitude of Rafael.

Joseph Soto

What are we doing here? The footer up there.

Roy Alex Gomez

So like if Raphael was like the leader and he wore blue uh mask instead of red, you know, then that probably would be me. Can you imagine that? In an alternate universe, they're switched. Well, there is that whole last Ronan story, which is an alternate universe.

Joseph Soto

And I don't know if you might know that, but like in our reality, our universe. Oh, I know. Like, I like to believe that somewhere out there in a different universe, Farley's still alive, Candy's still alive, Beluchi's still alive.

Roy Alex Gomez

I know.

Joseph Soto

And they all did a movie together, and they all did an incredible fucking best hour 50-minute movie you could ever imagine.

Roy Alex Gomez

You know what I feel like is that um there are if parallel universes are a thing, then yes, we get the awesomeness of how awesome that would have been that they're still alive and kicking and doing stuff, but then we would also get what if they just did not pan out to be the greatest people that we knew and eventually like plateaued and had to do shit like celebrity survivor. Oh god, you know, like they became D less D. Can you imagine that?

Joseph Soto

Like a Farley on celebrity, like dancing with the stars.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, what am I on here now? Dancing with the stars? Like I would totally tune in, but that's not where I would want to see Farley. No, like I'd want to see him still doing like he'd probably be hitting Ozampic too. And do and doing like maybe even serious roles, because why not?

Joseph Soto

Hmm, imagine that. Internal sunshine of the spotless mind. Right, you know, like uh giving it away that it wasn't given to Kerry. What if it was given to Farley? In an alternate universe, in an alternate reality universe, Farley did that movie.

Roy Alex Gomez

In in a uh what was it called? Um what's the movie called again?

Joseph Soto

Eternal Spot.

Roy Alex Gomez

Eternal Spot Shine. Eternal Sunshine and the Spotless Mind, yeah.

Joseph Soto

I believe that's the right title. You're right. Don't don't come after me after that.

Roy Alex Gomez

But yeah, I can totally see that.

Joseph Soto

Oh man. Speaking of which, CERN,

Turning Off The Large Hadron Collider

Joseph Soto

what's going on there? Oh, yeah, they just shut it off.

Roy Alex Gomez

And it's gonna take like four years for it to be properly off. Off, yeah. Yeah.

Joseph Soto

For them to stop, you know, spinning or whatever their protons are doing. We're not physicists, we don't know. Uh, don't quote us on this.

Roy Alex Gomez

Don't fact check us here, folks. That's not it's not gonna work uh in our favor at all.

Joseph Soto

Oh, what else is there, man?

Roy Alex Gomez

Well, CERN, they just shut CERN off. So let's say uh they're shutting it off because they're tired of jumping universes.

Joseph Soto

All right, guys, let's uh let's uh step back to reality, okay?

Roy Alex Gomez

No, like or they found the perfect universe they want to stay in, which is not Nazi adjacent. Basically, that's what it feels like. They're like eventually we landed on the one that was uh friendlier to Nazis and feels like home. Oh god, no.

Joseph Soto

You got uh loopy-doopy guy in the office.

Roy Alex Gomez

I did it, we're there, baby. Oh, that's right. He also um painted the uh the reflecting people.

Trumps Reflecting Pool

Joseph Soto

The reflecting. Don't start with that $20 million job that got ruined.

Roy Alex Gomez

20 million. And then did you see the way that the guy looks? The guy who took the job on? No. You've never seen the photo? Dude, he legitimately looks like fucking Paw Bear, the Undertaker's Paw Bear. Remember that guy? He looked completely pale, just fucking like a ghoul. Looks like a ghoul.

Joseph Soto

I got a phone here, I'm gonna fact you.

Roy Alex Gomez

Dude, if you can't, if you haven't seen the way that this guy looks, who took on, I don't know his name, but you I guess when you find it, you'll you'll bring it up. But the guy who was contracted to do the reflecting pool paint job looks like the WWF classic uh manager paw bearer from the 90s. He used to manage The Undertaker. So if you want to get an idea for the aesthetic of the way this guy looks, pretty close to a ghoul. Let's see if I can pull it up.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, if you can pull it up faster than I can.

Roy Alex Gomez

I think somebody might be here. Yeah, it's real quick.

Joseph Soto

There we go. So you got a picture of this guy?

Roy Alex Gomez

I do. Uh the 100 the 1.7 million non-bid contract to clean up the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool went to company ultimately owned by Trump donor John J. Cafaro, who previously pled guilty in separate federal cases involving bribery and campaign finance violations. The company name Greenwater Services. How fucking ironic. You're not kidding. That guy looks like a fucking ghoul. He looks like he's about to walk out the Undertaker, isn't he?

Joseph Soto

God, his eyebrows don't match his toupee.

Roy Alex Gomez

I know. And of course he's standing next to a hot chick because he can afford her. Of course. He was indicted. I know. Yeah, he's got the money to bribe court officials and congressmen.

Joseph Soto

I can get out of here.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, so he just basically pocketed 107 million dollars of taxpayer money, for fuck's sake. Well, can you imagine what that contract sounded like?

Joseph Soto

I need for you to take care of the reflecting poor.

Roy Alex Gomez

The reflecting poor, no problem. Consider we're done. Just give me the money. It's probably something almost exactly like that. It's probably like that, right? The phone call? We're both on the upstream files. Give me the money. We both can get away with it. We're not gonna take it to court. I don't even know if he sounds like that. That's what we imagine he sounds like. Just old mobster type. Well, you want a body gun? No problem. I know where I got plenty of plastic. I know we normally don't get political, but uh It seems like we have to now. How can we not? It's almost like a daily occurrence everywhere else. I really don't know. That's kind of unavoidable. I know, but it's things that have happened that we're catching up on as far as uh pop culture.

Joseph Soto

Very much so, yeah. Um but enough of that. I got to

Roy and Joseph talk Supergirl And Superman

Joseph Soto

see Supergirl. Nice, how was that? It was great. You liked it? The first hour's good, and then afterwards it starts to have that uh Marvel-esque runoff into just action drowning out the end of the story.

Roy Alex Gomez

Um I actually really love Superman.

Joseph Soto

Um, I thought it was a beautiful movie. Um Splendiferous, that was a beautiful movie. Oh my goodness. Ultraman.

Roy Alex Gomez

And then crypto crypto, dude, that was awesome. I know a lot of people complain about the design of the dog, but I mean he's supposed to be bigger, wasn't he? There's different iterations. So if if somebody automatically thinks like that's the ultimate definite uh version of crypto, then you're sadly mistaken. There's no there's many. There's at least five or six of them.

Joseph Soto

I will admit the engineer was pretty cool. They gave her a lot of cool, like little like nano stuff to do, like that gun out of nowhere, the blades, the the whole jets. She's that's right. Jets out of nowhere. Like I like that whole thing.

Roy Alex Gomez

I really appreciated the whole um giving Jimmy Olsen his uh what like that persona of being like a ladies. A ladies' man. And when it's always kind of been there, and it seems like this is the only movie that ever really is highlighted that he's not frail, he's not like a dork. Dork.

Joseph Soto

I am sorry, sorry, Mr. Clark, Mr. Kent.

Roy Alex Gomez

He's always known how to get a story, which means that he has to be likable and pumping ladies for information, yeah.

Joseph Soto

Which happened, like a very bond kind of guy. Like it was great. It's it's it's such a good movie. And I hate saying this, but it felt like a beautiful goodbye for WB. You think so? What do you mean? I think so. It's a beautiful goodbye. We've we've made it this far. Thank you for the 103 years. It's time to time to go.

Roy Alex Gomez

I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon, man.

Joseph Soto

They still have to- Well, I mean, they're paramount now, but Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, they're paramount now, which who knows? Sky's the limit. Paramount can do the ultimate, you know, I don't know, Justice League saga.

Roy Alex Gomez

I think it's just been handled in a way where everybody tried to make every comic book movie at DC uh Batman Dark-esque. You know, like there's like a gothic tone to a lot of it for some reason.

Joseph Soto

Especially recently with that cartoon, The Doom That Came to Gotham. Like a whole Cthulhu-esque kind of feel.

Roy Alex Gomez

Right. I I I mean, I get it. I I understand why it made Batman such a good movie, but that's because that's Batman's aesthetic. You know, and then what I loved about this Superman movie was that it was not that. No. It was uh a a fresh Superman take, which was always like, yeah, he's not he's an alien, but also human in a way, yeah. Yeah, he has to deal with human things.

Joseph Soto

Especially that whole scene where he's like getting mad at Luther and that whole scene. I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it, by the way. But that's what I that's what it is to be human. I wake up, I tie my shoes, I brush my teeth, I get out of bed, and you know. That whole moment, I was like, I'm teary guy, dude. I watch it to this day, and it's probably just like, oh yeah, shit, super man, what are you doing?

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, no, dude, that was a great movie. It was beautiful, just through and through. I thought like um the idea that he was like when he's when he's talking to Lois Lang, he was like, You're you're more punk rock than you even realize.

Joseph Soto

Crab joys and all that.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, dude, like how how it's true, you know, like in a a world where we kind of embrace or not embrace where um cynicism and fucking you know, just terrible shit is available in abundance. Oh yeah. It's kind of punk rock to be nice, you know, like in a weird way, yeah. Yeah, like there's no uh it's it's not normal, but it should be. You know, it's something that why aren't we accepting of everybody and stuff and true, true.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, no, I believe it. I I totally agree with it. It's a great statement. I couldn't have I I got no words for that.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, that's true. But yeah, that's kind of what I took away from the movie. I mean, I thought it was really good, and I thought that um everything was handled beautifully, even like the stuff with the rest of the Justice League, you know, like where they're still kind of trying to figure out a name and stuff like that. We're the Justice Gang, yeah, but it's a work in progress. Dude, it was fucking funny. I I loved the characters themselves, and then like that one part where he's like, but Superman doesn't kill people, and she's like, I'm not Superman. And then try and just let's fall.

Joseph Soto

Fuck yeah. Look, honestly, the way Superman played out, there was room for Shazam. You know there was.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh yeah, but you know that whole thing with Shazam, though, like it's a property that the rock is trying to own in a way, yeah, and he's trying to make Black Adam a superhero or he's an anti-hero.

Joseph Soto

Don't do that to uh an IP that's been around for years. Don't do that.

Roy Alex Gomez

I think that there's some problems maybe when it comes to a uh like let's say a cast member star power. Which, like, let's say, for example, the rock.

Joseph Soto

The rock, yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

He can't lose a fight in a movie, he's not necessarily supposed to be a bad guy.

Joseph Soto

Take the loss, bro. I know.

Roy Alex Gomez

If you want to be the character, be the character. Be the character.

Joseph Soto

If the character takes a loss, take the take the L. Yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

Alrighty, man. Uh since we're short, uh co-host, I think we're going to try and keep this episode nice and and uh, you know, short too. Yeah. So what we're going to do is revisit a classic bit that's we haven't done in quite a while. Quite a minute, yeah. Yeah. Uh Craigslist

Craigslist Missed Connections

Roy Alex Gomez

Misconnections. Misconnections. That's right. So um, okay, do you want to go first? You want me to go first? Do you want to go first? Okay. I don't think I've gone first in a while. It's been a minute. So let me just since we're doing it at old school, I gotta get everything ready. Um go ahead.

Joseph Soto

So this one. I just love that track. Alright, this one comes all the way from McCallan.

Roy Alex Gomez

McCallan, Texas.

Joseph Soto

McCallan. This one is uh simple. That's real, I can already tell this is a this is a real misconnection. Lost contact with my old friend. Oh, what a shame. Lost contact with my trans friend. Oh god. You got me this time. You got me, buddy. We went out to the movies and for drinks afterwards. Would really like to see you again, old friend. That's actually a misconnection.

Roy Alex Gomez

That's a real misconnection. That's a misconnection. Yeah, no. So uh nothing very sexual, if anything. I probably threw off the audience, but including that steamy track drag. I know. It was a genuine misconnection.

Joseph Soto

Um also don't know why this guy wanted to throw his friend under the bus. I mean, you could have just said lost contact with an old friend.

Roy Alex Gomez

True.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, you just just don't, you know, just don't throw your friend under the bus like that. I'm pretty sure they would like to keep that, I don't know, maybe private. I don't know. Who knows? I don't know these days.

Roy Alex Gomez

Uh why would you even have to mention that, right? Like we were gonna I mean I guess you have to be specific, but if you're gonna be specific, why don't you talk about something that they would identify with other than just being you know trans? Yeah, you know, like oh yeah, the lady who likes collecting pottery. Right. Alright, what do you got? Uh let's see. Well, our next misconnection also comes out from the tiny town of McCall in Texas. Um this one is to the girl I met in McCal uh at Pizza Hut tonight. We were both waiting for pizzas, and you struck up a conversation after your phone call to ask me about my tattoos. We ended up talking outside for a bit about where you were planning to get yours as well as which one of mine hurt the most. And I asked you for your name. Yours started with an H. But I don't want to put it out there for privacy concerns. I'm not looking for a relationship, but I'd like to get to know you as friends because of how nice you were. Unless we were only destined to meet once in our lives, since I'm here just visiting friends and live hours away from the RGV. It's a long shot post in here, but feel free to email me with your first name so I know it's you. Bonus points if you remember my name. Take care, and I hope your tattoos come out great.

Joseph Soto

That's actually yeah, that's a good genuine one. See, that's a genuine misconnection. Also, like it's a gaming system, like it's a uh tally. Points scored more if you remember my name. Why do people do that? Why? Like, do you want to talk to them again, or are you just like, it's a game, don't fuck up. That's also true, right?

Roy Alex Gomez

Like it's weird how I mean you can be because there's that's these are also very general maybe uh what what's the word like I don't know I guess this one was a little more specific. They had a lot more specific details, but um why wouldn't you just put their name out there? Unless it's like a very unique name, like Hortensia or something. Yeah. Well even then it's like Yeah, for sure they're gonna know who I'm talking about. Hortensia. Oh my god! Yeah, yeah.

Joseph Soto

Alright, what else we got here? Here we go. I got one. I even like the title line. Sounds good. Alright, this one's also from McAllen. Man, a lot of good places in McCallan. Stud it up, baby. Any good places to eat out? Question mark. Oh. Wanting to eat out. Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.

Roy Alex Gomez

Alright. That's the music also was not an appropriate for that one.

Joseph Soto

I mean, but the title itself. Any good places to eat out. And mind you, this is all one word. I know. Yeah, you know that it's crazy because eat out is not spaced out, it's all one word. So we know what this guy's talking about. That's right. Or lady, we never know. Mm-hmm. But yeah, McAllen, you got some strange things going on over there. McAllen.

Roy Alex Gomez

Man, they like doing stuff over there, don't they? They sure do. They like miss, they like missing their connections. They sure do. Wait, come back. Let me describe you on the internet too.

Joseph Soto

Bonus points. Bonus points if you get my name right. What are you what are you talking about?

Roy Alex Gomez

Folks, this is 2026, and we're still fucking missing connections. What's wrong with that? What's wrong with you?

Joseph Soto

Even homeless have no cash app and phones.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh, yeah. So there's really no excuse at this point.

Joseph Soto

Oh, go for it, go for it.

Roy Alex Gomez

Uh now we're back in McAllen for some male bonding. Let's uh McAllen, Texas. Guy in a wheelchair. Looking for guy friends to hang out. I host. My Spanish isn't the greatest.

Joseph Soto

Oh man.

Roy Alex Gomez

That was uh that's also inappropriate music for this uh same thing. We apologize. There's nothing I don't think there's anything romantic going on here. Or they're just looking for friends. Just looking for old friends. Yeah. Sorry to mislead you constantly with uh the music, but it kind of works out in some way it does. I know.

Joseph Soto

Uh emotional delivery is there.

Roy Alex Gomez

Right? I think uh all right. Well, what do you want to do?

Joseph Soto

Let's do one more.

Roy Alex Gomez

We'll do one more each. Why not?

Joseph Soto

Alright. Alright, mine.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh, gotcha. Let me do this. Alright. You see, we gotta do this old school, uh, so we're trying to make these transitions as seamless as possible, but I don't look like it's doing so well.

Joseph Soto

Yeah, we're going uh old school anal analog with this one. Sorry, my bad. Analog for this.

Roy Alex Gomez

Okay. Yeah, you ready?

Joseph Soto

So here we go. This one comes all the way from McCallan as well. McCallan McCallan. Oh, this is great. I love this title. Lost Fun in McCallan. Yeah, lost fun. I also used to dress up like a girl, but I'm a guy. Oh, nice. Oh, interesting. I still do dress up glam and looking for someone for fun. Looking for someone fun. Wow. Nice. Alright. Different turn of events there, McAllen. Right, right. Interesting.

Roy Alex Gomez

This person is looking to make a connection.

Joseph Soto

Make an actual connection, yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

Which we're all for. You know. Go for it. Be safe. Make that connection. Dress how you want to dress.

Joseph Soto

Carry pepper spray.

Roy Alex Gomez

Carry pepper spray because uh it's the world is dangerous. Rough out there.

Joseph Soto

It's very rough and dangerous.

Roy Alex Gomez

But yeah, that's uh the advice that we can offer for that one. You know, uh wrap it up.

Joseph Soto

Or how about uh those little little uh have you seen those? It's like a little set of brass knuckles. Oh, you can attach the keys. They that that works too.

Roy Alex Gomez

That will work, that will stop somebody. Um oh a little tip for people who carry around knives, you definitely don't want to stab anybody because you will still end up in jail. Uh yeah. Even if in even if it's in self-defense.

Joseph Soto

Some cases. Yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

No, no. No, for real? Really? Well, dude, if you I think about it this way. So you stab somebody, uh, and it's you and that person that are the only are the only people there. So now you have to no eyewitness testimony. You have to prove your innocence that you did not intend to do it to murder somebody. You were doing it in self-defense, which be also means that you get to spend nights in jail until you can prove that it was self-defense.

Joseph Soto

I did not know about that.

Roy Alex Gomez

You don't want to stab anybody. Um when it comes to knives, the quickest way to get out of that, even in when you're defending yourself, is to slice that jab. Yeah, in s in self-defense, if you slice somebody's arm, while they're let's say they're trying to, I don't know, um whatever. Punch you or whatever.

Joseph Soto

Like a chokehold or something. Whatever. Yeah.

Roy Alex Gomez

So when you do that, you slice somebody's arm, their arm opens up and they feel pain immediately. And they start bleeding, which makes them have to tend to their own wounds, which will stop an attack.

Joseph Soto

Right. A deterrent, if you will. Yeah. But a very that's painful.

Roy Alex Gomez

And that's easier to actually defend in the eyes of the law. Huh. Because you did not use lethal force, but you did hurt them in order for them to stop hurting you.

Joseph Soto

So a slash, not a stab. Yeah. Alright, well, I d I didn't know that. That's that's interesting. I did not know.

Roy Alex Gomez

And those are for all the Craigslisters out there who are looking to meet up misconnection. Speaking of knives, our next uh Craigslist misconnection comes out of Harlingen, Texas.

Joseph Soto

Oh, opposite of the the uh RGB there.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, and I guess this one will cap off our Craigslist misconnections with this last one. Um Yeah, we can do that.

Joseph Soto

Well, one more. One more misconnection.

Roy Alex Gomez

Let's see. Okay, Arlang in Texas. Workforce solutions. We walked out of the building around the same time and spoke in the parking lot. I was hoping you would ask me if I wanted a ride. I really wanted to help you out. Tell me what we talked about, so I know it's you. Arlingen, Texas.

Joseph Soto

Arlingen, that actually sounds like a legitimate misconnection. Can you give me a ride? That song fits perfectly.

Roy Alex Gomez

I know we fell in love, and you also can you give me a ride?

Joseph Soto

Bonus points if you remember my name. Sorry. That that just oh, dude. For years I was just like, bonus points. Bonus points. What is what is this uh wheel of fortune? I know. Bonus points if you remember what hat

PLUGS

Joseph Soto

I was wearing.

Roy Alex Gomez

What? And I think that'll uh conclude our Craigslist Craigslist misconnection segment.

Joseph Soto

That was great. Yeah, that was funny. Craigslist misconnections. No, we're not doing that.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, and that's uh been a Craigslist Misconnection. I guess we can wind her down now. Yeah, we can go ahead and slow it down a little bit. Let's plug some of the stuff we got going on. Uh July 3rd. You can catch me and Joseph at the Far Lone Star Theater. Or the Lone Star Theater in Farr. Uh we'll be on that lineup with uh our homie Anthony Nino, Hector Chapa, John uh John Andrew. John Andrew and uh a few others, excuse us for I think that's actually it. Is it really? I'm pretty sure that was the lineup.

Joseph Soto

I even like the title, Snakes and Sparklers.

Roy Alex Gomez

That's right. And speaking of snakes and sparklers, you can also catch us in Westlico on the 4th of July at uh our secret venue called the 40Watt. The 40 Watt. That's right. Tickets are still available. Um, and they are $20 a piece. Uh-huh. And don't forget to check out Recalled Productions on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok.

Joseph Soto

TikTok, yeah. Um And there was one more person. Uh Mr. Benjamin Bionis.

Roy Alex Gomez

Oh, Benjamin Briones. So he'll be on that lineup with us in far.

Joseph Soto

What else we got going on?

Roy Alex Gomez

Um, those are the the shows coming up soon, so they're more relevant, I guess, than this episode. Very relevant to this episode. Um and I guess you can follow me at Roy Gomez Comedy on all those same platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, uh, and TikTok if you're on there. Yeah. And Joseph, we're gonna follow you.

Joseph Soto

They can follow me on uh Joseph's little comedy on Instagram, Facebook, and uh well, I don't think we use X anymore on Twitter anymore, do we? Not much. Well, that's pretty much it.

Roy Alex Gomez

Yeah, that's been an episode, man.

Joseph Soto

That was it.

Roy Alex Gomez

So uh thanks for coming out, folks. Thanks for listening in, and that's been an episode.

MUSIC

I got both wheels.

Roy Alex Gomez

This is gonna recall productions. Now get out of here. Goodbye.
